When you create a new Portal, you can connect your existing marketing website or use our website builder. If you have a website you are happy with, we recommend you don't switch. Our website builder is aimed at professionals that want to quickly get setup with a modern website and don't mind lack of customization options.
Connecting your existing website
- You will want to add a button on your marketing website that links to your portal. Most common is adding a button called "Client portal" but some customers also use "Sign In", "Client login", etc.
- On the Settings/Module Management page, make sure you add the URL to your marketing website. This ensures that users who sign out of your portal are redirected to your marketing website.
We recommend that you first connect your custom domain and then add a button on your marketing website that links to your portal. Otherwise, you will need to update the button link on your marketing website.
